With the icy blasts of winter having seemed to miss us so far this year , February </strong>5th saw us a the main school in ChippingNorton once agaun as part of their great Family Focus events. Despite a gloomy forecast several telescopes including the schools own superb hand made models managed some observing while the indoors talks were well received from the 80 + pupils and parents.
On Saturday 7th we gave an illustrated talk to the pilots and staff at the South Warks Flying School at Wellesbourne airfield – very well received with the invitation to come back for observing on a clear night . We will do this as it will be with the backdrop of the Vulcan bomber
The month was rounded up with continuing outreach to Mickleton Primary and Chipping Norton Scouts on the 25th & 26th. Cloudy for Mickleton but very well received , in contrast clear and highly observable for the Scouts at Greystones –
very fitting end to the months acitvities – we look forward in anticipation to the eclipse in March
